To
provide the maximum service to customers requiring
formed tank components, Brighton Tru-Edge Heads has
further extended its operations to provide rolling of
tank cylinders. By purchasing both heads and cylinders
from Brighton, the customer receives a number of
benefits. Brighton will provide these units with a match
between the rolled cylinder and the Tru-Edge tank head
saving fit-up costs. By shipping the heads and cylinders
together, the customer saves on transportation cost.
SHELL
Better
control of scheduling is maintained when both the heads
and cylinders arrive at the job together. Cylinders can
be fabricated from stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel
alloys, clad, aluminum, copper, and other exotic
materials. Brighton has the capacity to roll plates up
to 16’ wide in thicknesses of 11⁄4” thick mild steel or
1” thick stainless steel. Cylinders can be provided
rolled and tack or fully welded. X-ray, dye check, and
code paperwork can also be provided.
HALF PIPE
Brighton
Tru-Edge Heads can supply 2”, 3”, and 4” half-pipe coils
for heads and shells. Half-pipe is precisely fit to each
head and can be tack welded, fillet welded or 100% full
penetration welded and tested per your exact
specifications with nozzles and fittings. Half-pipe for
shells can be supplied loose, fit and tacked, or welded
complete. Half-pipe is available in stainless,
carbon, and nickel alloys.
DIMPLE JACKETS
Brighton
offers dimple jacket for heads and shells. These dimple
jackets can be manufactured as loose panels, fit and
tacked, or fit, welded and fully tested including
nozzels to your specifications. Dimple jacket can be
formed from 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 gauge stainless
steel, carbon steel, and other exotic alloys.
NO HOLE HEADS
Most
head formers require a hole in the center of the head in
order to accommodate a pin for holding the head in place
during flanging.
Brighton Tru-Edge
has machines that are capable of forming heads with or
without a center hole. This saves the time of filling,
grinding, dye checking, and x-raying the hole in heads
that don't have a nozzle in the center.
