Will you still have a stainless steel head stocking program?

Yes, heads are stocked in both 304/304L and 316/316L grades from 6.625” through 36” diameters. Both ASME Flanged and Dished and Elliptical heads are stocked in a variety of thicknesses. Heads typically ship within 24-48 hours. Heads can ship same day for a premium.

 

Will you continue to stock plate?

Yes. Both carbon steel and stainless steel are kept on hand to provide a faster delivery.

 

Can you heat treat/stress relieve?

Yes. Material can be heat treated before, during, or after forming. We can also solution anneal @ 2050°F.

 

What alloys can you manufacture of fabricate?

Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Clad, Aluminum, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, Zirconium, Duplex Stainless, 9% Nickel, Copper-Nickel, Copper, and other exotic alloys.

 

What type of heads can you manufacture?

ASME Flanged & Dished, 2:1 Elliptical, 80:10, High Crown, Standard Flanged & Dished, Reverse Flanged & Dished, Dished Only, Flanged Only, Hemispherical, Cones, Toricones, Flared and Dished, and Segmental Heads.

 

What size heads do you manufacture?

From 6.625” up to an unlimited diameter. Thickness range from 3/16" through 2” depending on head size and head type.

 

Do you pickle stainless heads?

Yes, our stainless heads are pickled after forming and are provided iron free.

 

What other product offerings, other than tank heads, will you have?

We offer shells, half-pipe, dimple jacket, manways, seam welding, and have the ability to burn nozzle openings in completed heads. We also have the ability to do blasting and painting in house.

 

What material can you weld?

Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Clad, Aluminum, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, Zirconium, Duplex Stainless, Copper-Nickel, Copper, and other exotic alloys. We have over 600 weld procedures to meet your needs.

Can you x-ray your tank heads and what other NDT can you perform?

Yes, heads can be x-rayed. We can also do ultrasonic, magnetic particle, copper sulfate, ferroxl, dye penetrate and other tests to fulfill your requirements.

 

What does the name Tru-Edge mean?

Tru-Edge stands for the machined beveled edge along with the tight circumference tolerances that are held on all our heads.

 

Why do you believe Tru-Edge is a competitive advantage?

A head with a Tru-Edge machined bevel that is made to your exact specified circumference saves you time in fit up and welding. Tru-Edge saves you money!

Will you deliver my heads as part of the price?

Yes, most heads are quoted with freight included. We have a fleet of trucks especially designed to ship wide loads legally to reduce shipping times and cost.

 

Do you have polishing capabilities?

Yes, we can polish heads from a skim pass up to a #8 finish.

Who do I call to check delivery status?

 

How long do you hold quotes good for?

Quotes are typically good for 30 days. However, prices can change dramatically with fluctuations in surcharges. Material is always subject to prior sale.

 

Where does the Brighton name come from?

The name Brighton comes from the Brighton Corporation who sold quality Tru-Edge Heads until the name was abandon in 1993. During the acquisition, the name Brighton was purchased along with the assets. Most of the early customers were companies and factories located in Brighton, a suburb of Cincinnati.
