NOVEMBER NEWS
It seems every year the Halloween skeletons have barely been put back in the closet before the mistletoe and Santa decorations begin popping up all over town. But for those of you in the market for some stainless, Christmas really is coming early this year. For those of you still in shock at seeing gas prices drop below two dollars a gallon just wait till you see the December stainless surcharge report. Nickel has dipped momentarily in the $3.00 dollar range, the lowest since July of 2003. October nickel averaged $5.5065 per pound versus $8.0715 per pound in September. This decrease has created one of the largest drops in 304/304L surcharges to date. The December 304/304L surcharge will be $.7134 per pound. Moly averages also fell from September $32.938 to October $26.12. Moly and nickel combination will drop the December 316/316L surcharge to $1.3158. That is a $.62 cent decrease from the November number. Nickel is averaging $5.28 per pound for this month and will cause the January surcharges to bump up a little.
Stainless Mills are quoting 5 to 9 weeks.
Carbon Mill lead times are 7 to 10 weeks

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling
To provide the maximum service to customers requiring formed tank components, Brighton Tru-Edge Heads provides the rolling of tank cylinders. By purchasing both heads and cylinders from Brighton, the customer receives a number of benefits. Brighton will provide these units with a match between the rolled cylinder and the Tru-Edge tank head saving fit-up costs. By shipping the heads and cylinders together, the customer saves on transportation cost. Better control of scheduling is maintained when both the heads and cylinders arrive at the job together. Cylinders can be fabricated from stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel alloys, clad, aluminum, copper, and other exotic materials. Brighton has the capacity to roll plates up to 16’ wide in thicknesses of 11⁄4” thick mild steel or 1” thick stainless steel. Cylinders can be provided rolled and tack or fully welded. X-ray, dye check, and code paperwork can also be provided. Contact your sales person at 1-800-543-1644 for more information.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The Brighton Tru-Edge shop and sales office will be closed on Thursday November 27 and Friday November 28.
