SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER - Has nickel finally stabilized?  So far this month nickel is even with Augusts average of $12.54 per pound.  This will stop the roller coaster ride down at least temporarily.  The LME inventory of nickel remains high and will continue to keep pricing in check.  Nickel prices plummeted from July $15.1617 per pound to August $12.54 per pound. This will decrease the 304/3040L surcharge in October to $1.2664 per pound.  Moly remained stable in the mid $31.50 dollar range, but do the drop in nickel the 316/316L surcharge for October will be $2.1843 per pound dramatically down from September $2.5081 per pound.

Stainless mill lead times from the mill are 5 to 10 weeks.

Carbon pricing remains stable and lead times from the mill are approximately 5 to 8 weeks.

This machine is capable of polishing to a 3 Ra finish (across grain) up to a 252" diameter head (ID or OD polish). Brighton has additional capabilities to polish even larger heads.
